Second semester reflections.

My semester is not finish yet, and Im so tired, I want to finish now, but on the other hand, I need more time to finish my works and pass my subjects.
I dont have many subjects, only four, but this subjects are the final four, like a last gym in pokemon stadium.
I think, this semester is one of the most hard to me, because is the last semester (I suppose) and I had go back to the university, later than almost two semester making practically nothing ralated with formal studies. As well I  take  a new central workshop, totally different in relation with the other, so all is more complicated compared to others semesters at least in the academic way. although, in others aspect of my life, the last time has been very useful for learn and reflect about important life things and that have influence my art work. that make me so happy.
also this semester I meet some interesting and fantastic people.

 other thig I like to say is: last nigth I found a little kitty, and I cant have more cats, because ricarda gatita is very grupmpy, so if one of you want this adorable kitty .....please. :)

Arts and I

why I study arts? that is the same question I made me every time I going to the university jajjaja, the true is I dont remember very well why I decide study arts, but now I know  is too different from what I thought, my vision of the art changed totally in this last five years.
in this semester I have five subjects; central workshop, complementary workshop,draw, english and a seminary of art, media and technology.
in the central workshop, Im in experimental painting with teacher arturo cariceo, I regret for not having done take this subject before, because is very complete. also I take pettery as a complementary  workshop, and I be working whit porcelain and corporal women hair. I dont know what is my area, I think I dont have one area of work, I use the elements that I need for each work, and if I dont know how make what I need, I try to learn it.
the future is so uncertain to me, so I dont have clear what I  do when I finish my degree, maybe I like to make art, maybe not who knows.

How green are you?

The true is Im not very green, but I try to contribute with small actions like re-use the plastic or glass packages of product that I cant buy in bulk, or I keep the products I buy in My backpack. Also I care  plants in my house, I really like stay in contact with nature, and I try to take over my garbage in any situation. Unfortunately the garbage finish all in the same place, so is a little bit useless separate it :C
although you can re-use or give to other re-use. one time I made compost, but I never check the temperature or humidity, so I was producing METHANE!!!! when a friend tell Me that I feel very bad and say: no more compost for me. anyway, I found other and wanderful form to contribute with the enviroment: the bicycle, now I go to all place in my bike, I love riding in My bike, I feel so free and I BELIEVE I CAN FLY, I BELIEVE I CAN TOUCH THE SKY!! is very comfortable, and the best is that is not harmful for the enviroment. A movie that I love and a movie that I hate

My favourite movie mmmmm, is so difficult to Me choose one , but, I can write about one of the movies that I like. Recently I had review some movies of Studio Ghibli, because My sister tell Me that she was showing some movies of studio ghibli to My nephew and He love it,
 So I downloaded a few movies to see with my nephew when I will go to my home in Combarbalá, but I dont avoid seen again all movies I download xD. I had thought show him "Ponyo on the cliff by the sea" but that movie is perfect to the rainy days <3 So I decide we will see  "Kiki´s delivery service" is more summery, its about the initiation ritual of  Kiki to became a whitch. For tradition when witches are 13 years old have to move on to the other town or city to live for one year, and survive with they abilities as a whitch. the movie Is a very beautiful trip to self-knowledge and friendship.
...And the movie that I hate? well I hate some kind of movies for example, the tipical love story, with the submitted and devoted lady or romantic comedy like "What Happens" in Vegas, is so boring and disgusting, the characters don´t have emotional intelligence , I hate!! also I don't like movies whit the sad story of self-improvement is a boring torture.

a song has a special meaning

Is very difficult to me choose one song, because the music always mark the different period in  my life, but in this moment Im going to talk about "heaven knows I'm miserable now" of the smiths. when I was a teenager, I really like the smiths, so depresive hahaha, and this song make me feel better in some sad and difficult moments, in general the smiths song help me when I was feel sad.
one year ago I meet a person who like the smiths a lot and I start to remember how many like the smiths and obviously this far time. now I hear the smiths a lot, again, but now I feel different with that songs, and this year I heard "heaven knows I'm miserable now" a lot because I`m miserable know, and I looking for a job hahaha, now this song make me feel good, I think life can be miserable and interesting too.

My future job.

I think in the future Im going to study other things in other place because I like to learn and I hate jobs, with schedule, boring people, whit formal clothing. So I found others alternatives more similar to My interest in the future moment, I don't know what will be that interest, but I think could be related with art or animals jajaja.
until now I think in something I like to do in some moment in My life, for example, I want to live in Costa Rica in the natural reserve whit sloths for be in contact whit nature and sloths. also I like work in some natural history museum doing taxidermy, so fun and nasty, I like sell plants and flowers in the streets markets too. Other thing I like to do is burn things, places, people, concepts, Me.
Oaaayyy so many probability!! I like that, the future is so uncertain.

An artists that I admire

One of the artist I admire, was my draw teacher in my first year in the university he was a very special and interesting person. I'm talking about Cesar Osorio, he was a performer artist, I think he antire life was a performance.
My first class in this university was whit him, it was really weird. At the begginig I don't like his class, because I don't understand when he talk in serious and what things disturb his class.
when the draw subjet finish, I be able understand, and really meet My teacher, My master, he teach me more than draw, he teach me life and art things.
he die at october 7 of this year, when My friend told me, I don't believe, I think that was a another performance, but not, it was really sad notice to me.

the best holidays I've had

hi! Im going to talk about one of My best holidays, its was two years ago.
I invited My friend Verah to My home, in Combarbala, She want to meet my family, My north friends and go to the "clasico", a tradicional celebration of Combarbala. That celebration is very fun, because is a competition of two cultural clubs, Los Loros and Union Juvenil, with a historical rivalry. In that match each club present a teatral work, after that presents a cheerleader exhibition and all is define whit a basquetball play. when the clasico finish all celebrate with a partyyyy, is a very long party .
 We stay in Combarbala for 15 days, and before that, We go to the elqui's valley for a 9 days, We visit, paihuano, Montegrande, Vicuña and Pisco. when We have not much money, We camp in the river and the mountain.
I think they was a very good holidays because We meet a lot of people, and the place are very beautiful and energy.

My biography.

My name is Paloma Palma, I was born in Santiago on october 7 1992, I'm twenty years old. when I was fourteen years old my family moved to Combarbalá a town in the north of Chile, in this place I finished my studies and then I came back to Santiago to study art at university of Chile. now I live with the friend,it is very funny because her name is Paloma hahaha!, we have a kitty, its name is Ricarda Arturo Gatita, but we call him gati.

my mom lives in Combarbalá and sometimes she visits me in Santiago, I have a sister called Belen, she studies law in Coquimbo,and she has a son, his name is Santiago,he is very smart, enjoys drawing and reading.

I like plants,in my garden I have many medicinal plants, spices, vegetables and some carnivorous plants. Also I enjoy talking with my friends, bike riding and obviously going to the party.

In this moment I want to finish My career, for start to make other things, learn new things, not related whit art, maybe learn botanical things or something like that.

My best friend

I dont know if I have a best friend, I think I have many and different friends, different kind of relationships. In this moment I have some friends more close to me, for different reasons, They live really  close to my hause or we have similar interest. But exist one friend, called, Robin, He is like a brother to Me.
I met him in the summer in Combarbala, when I was walking my dog, and he made me a questions, so many questions. after that I moved on to Combarbala and started a friendship with him. Im not sure but I think we have been friend for ten years, it is a long time. I consider robin My best friend or My brother, because he is always there, we rely on each other in any situation, we pass our lives together.
I dont know what the best memory with him is, because we have so many good memories, I cant choose any one.

Best concert I have seen.

One of the best concert I have seen was the bjork in lollapalooza 2012, it was march 31th of that year. I was going with my sister, We spent all day at the festival watching Many bands. But I more wich expected it was bjork presentation, because She is one of My favorite Singer as a long time. Before She has presented in chile twice; in 1998 (I was too younger), and 2007. I don’t knew if I would have the opportunity for see her in a concert again, so I was very happy when I heard She return to chile for a presentation.When the concert started I felt adrenalin, I could not believe I was seeing her so closely. In the middle of the presentation, My sister felt very sick , so We has go out of there and continue seeing the show more far of  the stage. I felt a little sadness, but her propose was amazing and her sound was really perfect, so I didn’t care so much watching far away the rest of the show.

When the concert end and the people started to retire, My sister said me: I’m sure She sing a last song Then She run to the stage, I follow her and when We arrive to the scenary, bjork started to sing “Army of me”, that was great, so much energy and euphoria, if was awesome.

an expert on your field

Today Im going to write about  one of the performer artist most important for me in Chile. The true is I dont meet so much performer artist and I dont like so much the performance, but she was a great inspiration for my work.
she artist name is Hija de Perra, she work in many artist proyect, no only performace. she has a band called indecencia transgénica, she represented her self in a movie, she participated in a short films and she imparted class of venereal diseases in some  universitys in Chile.
Her work is about sexual dissent, the reject of binary gender and the factual powers which opresse us.
this artist is a influence for me because my work is about the reject of a socials standars, from a humorous and ironic view and Hija de Perra develop that type of art in chile, so she is the most close referent of this form of art for me.

my favorite piece of technology.

Its difucult for Me to decide which piece of technology is my favorite, because there are many devices out there today, some devices in our daily life are more used than others.

from my point of view, laptops are use the most. we can use them for many differents activities such as getting in touchwith friends. on the other hand, we canback up all sorts of documents, files, and anything we create on them. its also possible to research numerous things on the internet as well and it allows us to find information related to particular sudject or just somethingwe want to read about, as edition programs, for video, pictures, and audio also.

the first laptop that I ever had was a present of my father.

 if there were no laptops, most everyday tasks would be difficult to manage. for example, finding information for university reports would be very dificult. I use a laptop everyday from 3 to 4 hours a day, and something more because  Im obsessed with playing games on the computer. One I play is called Tentacles: Enter the mind. Its great and its for this and many other reasons that I like use my laptop.  

the expectation for a new semester.

My expectation for this semester in the university area is aproved My English class and My seminary of Latin American conceptualism. this is the only two class I have, so, my free time is too much, and I hope make the most of this time for learn somethings new, out of university, and maybe work.
The true is I like to travel, but I cant because I need finish My art studies.
Im interesting in botanical, I like to learn more of this area, specifically the physiology of the plants.
I think My seminary of Latin American conceptualism can be very interesting, because the teacher know a lot, she is a very learned person. Sometimes the teacher talk about things not directly associated to art, but this can make use for contextulize the period of history she teach us, that is I like of this class.

Introduction.

1. what are my expectations  for level 3?
I like to really lern the english, because is very hard to me.

2. which is my weakness and strenght in english?
I think my weakness is my pronunciation and my strenght is i can understand the english, but is hard  comunicate my ideas in this language.
